What you may ask is cooler than James Bond? I will tell you, a car show that has so much more to it than just a car show. Teske Design teamed up with Scion of Bellevue to put together “The Ultimate Tuner Experience” in which you would not only be judged on how clean your car was, but your ability to put on a spare tire, race a car (albeit a virtual one), and dress your best to win the top prize. A brand new set of 5.:AD Wheels! But the prizes didn’t stop there. Two brand new iPod Nano’s were given away, along with a brand new set of tires graciously donated by Toyo.
We started the drive from Beaverton Oregon on the morning of the show along with Project Tuners and Fast 4Ward Motorsports (and their support team) and started the 3-hour trek North to Bellevue. Aside from the occasional stop due to confusion or thinking there may be a flat the trip went mostly without trouble. However the rain didn’t help when it came to cleaning at our final destination. This wasn’t the first time that I have been to the Seattle area for a show but it certainly took the cake for the most fun!
We have to give great thanks to Teske Design for having the most well organized event that we have ever been to. Once inside attendees went to town detailing their cars in full dress. Yet it didn’t stop there. Person after person removed their suit jacket and got on the floor to remove and replace the spare wheel as quickly as possible. Think you can beat 53 seconds? We encourage you to try! As always the Scion community was fantastically represented from a few crisp stock examples to Xbox 360’s own Box. Team Menace was extremely well represented as well, and so much of this show was more than the cars on display. Looking at a couple of the winners is a fantastic example of what a show can truly be.
